I keep getting an "EWS transmission/parity" error on my scanner. The EWS works fine; the car starts every time, so I'm a little confused.
My car is a 2001 model 3 litre Z3 with Siemens DME (I think).
My car has been rebodied, so the EWS key loop is remote to the ignition now if that makes any difference. I have two keys; one is the BMW key which slots into the original barrel with the EWS still attached and the other is an aftermarket ignition switch with all the wiring from the original going to it.
Any suggestions?
