Leather seat repair

Got a separating seam on the seat of my black leather driver seat where your bum goes - anyone tried those self adhesive sheets to fix it and how durable are they? Cheers - cant get a pic up for some reason

The seat base cover comes off quite easily with some patience. If it’s just the stitching that’s let go, and not the leather itself, it’s better just to restitch it. I got a leather needle and cord off eBay for about £4 when I did mine. Whilst it’s off, if you heat the foam with a hairdryer the side bolsters will plump back up.
