Preventative or failure?

More preventative maintenance, Oil seal (febi bilstein not the one that came with the valve), Check Valve and Braided Vanos Oil Feed, followed by an Oil and Filter change.

Number 5 coil Niall, but thought I might as well change all 6.

In the past few months I have bought the following:
New thermostat - old one was letting by
New viscous fan clutch - old one was knackered
New intake elbow - old one had split
New brake vacuum hose - old one had collapsed
New fuel tank purge valve - old one's solenoid had packed up
New left front wheel speed sensor - old one just stopped working
New steering wheel - old one was too big (both aftermarket wheels)

Well it stops you getting bored!

Picked up a screen wash NRV to fit to fit to rear wiper on the Coupe, they were never fitted as a standard item but the low pressure at the rear hatch pulls water out of the screen washer nozzles making lots of water marks. They were fitted to lots of BMW estate cars to overcome this problem, a few owners on Z3 Coupe Forum have retro-fitted them. Looked on eBay and they £27 + P/P, checked at local BMW dealer for same P/N and got really ripped off - £8.40!!!
Also picked up some Gummi Pflege rubber restorer as I'm having trouble with water ingress from passenger side door/window around the A pillar. Hope that might fix it.
