I've been talking to my boss today who has a Boxster S as his toy for summer. We were discussing the weather and are we going to tax from March 1st. I'm 80% there as I need to pop down to the Zedshed at some point soon.
Who's taxing and who's waiting until April?

I am taxing the Z4 in March, will tax the Z3 in May. Though the forecast for March looks crap so far. I have to MOT it in March and wanted it to have at least a couple of runs prior

Kept my Z4 on the road apart from December and January on SORN when we were away, the Z3 has been on SORN since November last year, probably tax that in May.

Taxed all year, but it's only been out a couple of times for a proper run, plus short trips to keep everything moving /charged. :) Dry weather please.🙏

3 litre Z3 pretending to be Italian exotica. Two previous E89 Z4s.
I was thinking of taxing mine yesterday but being the end of the month I wasn't going to pay £35 for one nice February day! I did seriously think about risking it for one day.
I am going to wait and see what March brings, then tax it as and when.
For the first time ever I am going to do mine by DD. It costs a few quid a year more but makes it easier to SORN it on and off, if necessary. I SORNed mine in December and it took until last week for me to go to somewhere with an open Barclays bank branch to pay the bloody cheque in for the credit.
I won't do app banking.

Always taxed and used. No garage queen here. Likely cost as much as a years tax to rectify defects caused by lay up if others experiences are weighed. :)

That's an interesting take. Before my Z3 failed its MOT it was taxed and used all year, however now I also have a z4 and tax cost is relatively high on both I took the decision to SORN. The issue I find is that during a month when on SORN and suddenly you have a nice day or two, I think 'that will cost me £35 to take it out'. I am torn as tomorrow is going to be nice here but its one day away from end of month

I take it off the road because I get no enjoyment using them in the winter months. We have two other cars which trudge on and take the brunt of the salt etc. If it were nice all year I wouldn't consider taking it off the road but pointless paying £35 a month for it to sit and do nowt.
