Hi, I've got a problem with the clutch on my 2001 1.9 Z3, The clutch pedal goes to the floor and gear changes are difficult with the engine running.
I want to replace the rubber hose to the slave cylinder. Does anyone jave a supplier contact for the ss upgraded hose. I brought one from WM performance hoses but it has a different connection at the slave end. Any advice gratefully received.

If your old hose is weak and balooning when pressure is applied it won't give the cluth enough travel to disengage corrcetly so a new hose would solve that. If the hose is not the problem then look at replacing the slave cylinder as that may be the cause.

Thanks for your reply, I should of said I took the slave off and its not leaking. I clamped the top of the rubber hose to check the master the pedal was soild so thats suggests the master is ok. But Im struggling to get a replacement hose at the minute. Been quoted £87+vat from bmw.

I understand some people remove a valve at one end when replacing. I wonder if that would make your hose fit

I assume its a m43 1.9 like mine, oem diagram shows the delay valve not fitted to ours as its greyed out in the diagram. I also assume the double threaded end connector in the photo is that valve. Reckon you have been supplied one suitable for cars with the clutch delay valve maybe for the M44 version? Photo posted by @Oddly Godly probably for his 2.8 with a delay valve.

Hi Don't think the 1.9 warranted a cdv, all WM supplied was a hose with female connections both ends & 1 male/female connector, so which ever way I try to fit it I'll have a female to female connection.

Sounds like you need the double threaded connector @Oddly Godly had with his hose from Matt Lewis racing if you have two female ends on the hose.

Yes my hose has two female end plus the double ended connector. the connector has the same thread on both ends but slightly different at the very end of each side. It is just a connector and not a valve, I am not sure if it is to be used if I remove the delay valve on my 2.8
