Coilsnot Working but good

I have 3 ignition coils on my 2.8 not working, but when I connect them to a other cyli der the work. As in co nect number 2 to number 5 wiring it gives a spark. What can cause this?

Sounds like an ECU issue - are the coils all on 1 bank ? (ie front 3 or last 3?)

No it's 2+4 coils
It was running great but been laid up and now it isnt
