This pic shows my wake up call to Christmas and this year it took exactly half the time. Every year I dread getting the tree down from the loft specialy when you’ve tried to put it back in the box it came in, so last year I had permission to try it my way. It’s not a real tree so planting out wasn’t an option :stop:, but leaving it ERRECT was. Hmmm. So carried it up the stairs and shoved it straight up the access into that dark place no woman really likes to go,Yep you guessed, the loft. Was a bit of a fight but got it in one, so of course it came out in one this year.
Wife was pleased that no damage was apparent so no shouting and screaming. Well lads there you have it,
If you want to do it in half the time at Christmas just make sure you leave it fully errect cos it works, I know cos I’ve tried it. Here’s the giant of a tree that always made me dread erecting it at Xmas.

IN AND OUT IN ONE.=))

One thing to bear in mind is the size of the opening, some loft access is smaller than others so best have a trial run.( on your birthday that way you won’t get into trouble). :eek:Hope this helps. Merry Xmas and best of luck cos mines up.=))

Think it’s only just within tolerance Dave  and I don’t mean the tree, quite an effort to get the wording right in case people got the wrong end of the tree, so to speak. Light hearted enough hopefully. Glad you liked it.=))

If you left the lights and decorations on, that would be a great step forward for mankind:whistle:

We used to have a great tree but we had it for years nothing wrong with it but the wife had a great idea of up cycling it and buying a new one what could go wrong.

Year 1 after looking at so many disappointing trees at places it was a visit to some farm with Xmas grotto animals and stuff nice afternoon out apart from picking a tree. When we go it home and in it’s sturdy bloody expensive German made base.

Year 2 The wife was disappointed that the real tree wasn’t symmetrical, well what did you expect but ended up to keep her happy a pricey tree pine spruce look with led lights which I thought was quiet nice.

Year 3 still could tell the wife was not happy with the tree I was saved fixing the lights each and hanging the buggers leaving the wife just to dress it. Well I was working away but did pull the decs out of the loft and left her to her own devices, not quite a happy elf.

Year 4 I was subjected to WhatsApp adventure of my wife and a friend going to a farm that prunes trees to have a symmetrical purchase but my wife being a shortie is not great on judging heights one disgruntled elf found she bought a 11ft tree needles to say it went to two different homes and had to rake her mate in to do the loft run. As you can guess I was working away =)) I was told I’m never to be working away all of December again.

Year 5 this year I do love the Isle of Man shame I can’t get home until the 23rd think I’m in the dog house.

Moral of the story work away from home if your marriage can stand it:whistle:

No good if your retired Althulus. Best just drop something heavy on yer foot so you can’t climb the loft ladder.

We leave ours as is and wrap it with cling film then put in the basement.
