I am the new owner of a lovely Z3 2002 2.2 with 49 thou on the clock with all supporting paperwork. Drives like a new car and just had a full mechanical inspection and was told I should get another 20 years from her. Love it

Sounds like you found a Peach with that mileage, just be aware the rubber pipes across the engine will be showing their age even with a low miles car, also some sensors will be prone to age deteriation. Keep an eye on the rubber and plastic pipes and hoses and get yourself a good code reader and a 20pin to 16pin OBD cable to plug in to the under bonnet diagnostic socket so you can read all modules on the car, the 16pin socket under the steering will only read the engine module. Can reccommend a Creator 310+ scanner for under £50, it will do all you will ever need. We do like pictures of cars on here, like to see what you got.

Good advice and a big thanks. As stated just had a mechanical report completed and waiting to have the BM on a rolling road and possibly a re-map. I bought the car from a guy who was passionate about the Z3 and cared for it well. I was able to ”steal the car” and happy to invest a few quid as necessary. I am also hoping there are some owners somewhere near me and hopefully have meets and ride outs

Welcome aboard, where are you?

I can add a +1 on the Creator 310+ scanner with 20pin lead, works well.
