With Silverstone Festival making way for CarFest over the August Bank Holiday weekend in 2026, we have another exciting update for our summer events schedule.

We are pleased to confirm that over the last weekend in July, historic motorsport will be celebrated on the iconic Grand Prix circuit with a reimagined version of the Silverstone Classic for historic motorsport fans. It will also bring together classic car displays from across the car club community and we hope to see you there!

I have just put up details of the new Silverstone Classic on Z Coupe Forum as this years Festival was a bit disappointing with a lot of club display areas given over to masses of food courts. Didn't get to see some of the club stands as the were so far away on the far side of the circuit.
Definitely looks to be more in line with what we have been enjoying on the past.

Interestingly when I looked at the BMWCC Monthly email which had list of events for 2026, BMW Live was down for 25th July, however the Silverstone Classic isn't listed. Does this mean that there will be no/or minimal BMWCC presence at Silverstone? I wonder if some of the car clubs are boycotting the event after the really poor car club stand layout this year, although the BMWCC plot was great in comparison with some stands. The Jaguar's normal plot was filled with tractors (never did get to see the Jags, too far away on other side of circuit).it was almost as if this years Classic Festival was preparation for Chris Evans Carfest as there huge areas of food outlets where the car club stands had been in previous years,
So no Silverstone for me next year, BMW Live it is plus hopefully Bangers and Cash Live (just got my display pass through, together with Bernie and Martin from Z Coupe Forum).

BMWCC are holding back till the dates are confirmed, although if attending it probably will not be to the level of previous years due to costs. Due to available dates the only available date for BMW live is Saturday 25th July.

Unfortunate as i have enjoyed Oulton park but no comparison with the full weekend event at Silverstone.

Hopefully the classic will be a similar foremat as previous years for my annual pilgrimage.

Agree about the three day event at Silverstone being a great event (I've attended every year since 2013) but this year's event just made me think it was a prelude to Chris Evans Carfest in 2026. Hopefully the new Classic Festival will be a success, but I'll await your feedback to see if worth going the following year.
