No, but I bought an electrical item which wasn't as advertised and even overheated to the extent it almost caught fire and the seller isn't interested and neither is eBay.:(

Thanks for posting this Aaron, and really sorry to read about all the hassle you've been through with it, but I'm sure a lot of us will now be a lot more wary of who we buy and sell from on Ebay in the future.
I know I certainly will be because of what you've been through. :thumbsup:

Fair point, although I'm not sure about naming him publicly.
What I will say is the address was in Bury, north of Manchester, and if anyone wants me to confirm if the same address comes up, PM me the details.

If at some point we can confirm he's an intentional scammer, or there's identity fraud going on, I will disclose his full details.
 
ahh my mrs is in Bury now - has family there and i'm reguarly there

can soon accataine who he is by seeing if theres a Z3 parked in the vacinity - im happy to drive past & take a few snaps ;)
 
Well, today's the day.

The 30th day since the funds were sent for return postage and they remain unclaimed, so hopefully within the next 24 hours, I'll get that back via Paypal, and this whole thing can finally be put to bed.

Otherwise, the status remains unchanged.

I got paid, the buyer kept the item along with a full refund and ebay disabled any feedback on the transaction.
 
I was actually thinking about you today and wondered how much longer you've got to wait for the refund from paypal
 
My goodness! Having stumbled upon this thread via a link within a thread, this is horrendous. Very much a practised scam, IMO. Well done Aaron for persevering and how disheartening that the scammer got to keep the hoops and refund. Makes for caution when using such tech giants like EBay.
 
What a cluster****! Sounds a lot like a scam to me. That guy has issues and dounds like ge needs professsional help. Good luck, buddy, hope it all works out.
