Z3 Long 45cm soft top tension cables

Any advice on where to buy replacement cables in the UK

Replacing soft top and cable plastic coating has worn away and exposed bare cord. Alternatively any experience on recoating with plastic coating.

Silly question but have you tried BMW? I’m always amazed by what’s still available for the Z’s. Often cheaper then eBay etc too…

Synter lists it as part 54318400951 as a repair kit. But not cheap at £127

Have you thought about sliding some shrink tubing over the damaged bit of the plastic sleeve. Or wrap it with a bit of self amalgamating tape.

You do get a couple pop rivets thrown in for that price too ..honestly ridiculous for what they are. @Mazza or @ZEDonist UK need to get making these !
